About HandyBench

HandyBench is a workbench for the small jobs: 172+ converters, calculators, and text, developer, SEO, PDF and image utilities, all laid out and ready to pick up. No sign-up, no install, no upsell to a "pro" tier.

Every tool here is one someone actually needed. They're deliberately boring — a word counter should count words, load instantly, and get out of the way.

Your data stays with you

Almost every tool runs entirely in your browser. Your text, files and numbers are processed on your own device and never reach a server, which is also why we can't recover them for you if you close the tab.

The exceptions are the website checkers — meta tags, HTTP headers, DNS, WHOIS, broken links and currency rates. Those genuinely have to reach out from a server, so they pass the URL or domain you typed to our own backend, which fetches it and returns the result. We don't store it.

HandyBenchBot

If you see HandyBenchBot in your server logs, that's one of those checkers: a visitor asked us to look at your page. It requests only the URL entered, respects redirects, and doesn't crawl beyond what the tool needs. If you'd rather it didn't, block the user agent — nothing here depends on ignoring that.

Free, forever

All 172+ tools are free with no account. The site is supported by unobtrusive advertising, which pays for the domain and the time to keep building new ones.
