Frequently asked questions
How do I calculate a price after a discount?
Multiply the price by (1 − discount/100). For 25% off ₹80, that is 80 × 0.75 = ₹60.
How do I stack two discounts?
Apply them one after another rather than adding the percentages. A 20% then 10% discount on 100 is 100 × 0.8 × 0.9 = 72 — not 30% off. This tool stacks them correctly.
How do I find the discount percentage from two prices?
Subtract the sale price from the original, divide by the original, then multiply by 100. From 80 to 60 is (80 − 60) ÷ 80 × 100 = 25% off.
