What is a HEIC file?
HEIC (High Efficiency Image Container) is the default photo format on iPhones since iOS 11. It compresses better than JPG at the same quality, but many websites, older apps, and Windows/Android tools do not open it directly.
Why can't I just open my HEIC files everywhere?
HEIC support depends on the operating system and app — Apple devices open it natively, but many browsers, image editors and upload forms on other platforms only accept JPG or PNG, so converting first avoids "unsupported file" errors.
Can I convert multiple photos at once?
Yes. Add as many HEIC/HEIF files as you like and they convert in a batch — download them individually or all at once.
Will I lose quality converting HEIC to JPG?
JPG uses lossy compression, so there is some quality trade-off at lower quality settings. Keep the quality slider high (85%+) for output that is visually indistinguishable from the original in most cases. Choose PNG instead for a lossless (but larger) file.
Are my photos uploaded to a server?
