Frequently asked questions

Can I watermark only some pages?

Yes. Turn off "apply to all pages" and enter a page range like "1-3, 5" to watermark only those pages.

Can I use my logo as the watermark instead of text?

Yes. Switch to image mode and upload a PNG or JPG — a PNG with a transparent background works best combined with the opacity slider.

Can the watermark be removed afterward?

A semi-transparent, tiled or diagonal watermark is much harder to remove than a small corner mark, but no watermark on an editable PDF is completely unremovable. It is meant to deter casual reuse and mark ownership, not to encrypt the file.

Are my PDFs uploaded to a server?

No. The watermark is applied entirely in your browser with pdf-lib, so your document never leaves your device.
