Frequently asked questions

What image size works best for Open Graph?

Use 1200×630 pixels (1.91:1). That displays cleanly as a large card on most platforms without cropping important content.

Do I need both Open Graph and Twitter Card tags?

Open Graph tags work across Facebook, LinkedIn and many others, and X (Twitter) falls back to them too. Adding a few twitter: tags lets you fine-tune the card type and image specifically for X.

Why does my preview not update when I share a link?

Platforms cache Open Graph data. After updating your tags, re-scrape the URL with the platform’s debugging tool (such as Facebook’s Sharing Debugger) to refresh the cached preview.
