Frequently asked questions
How does upside-down text work?
It maps each letter and digit to a different Unicode character that happens to look like the original flipped 180°, then reverses the character order so the whole word reads correctly upside down.
Why do some letters look slightly different upside down?
Unicode does not have a true rotated glyph for every letter, so a few (like g, r or the numeral 3) use the closest visually similar character available instead of a perfect flip.
What is the mirrored text option?
Mirrored text uses left-right flipped look-alike characters instead of upside-down ones, so words appear as if reflected in a vertical mirror rather than rotated.
Can I turn it back to normal text?
Retype or paste your original text — upside-down conversion is one-way character substitution, so there is no automatic "un-flip" of the flipped output.
