Frequently asked questions

What counts as a word?

Sequences of letters and digits (including apostrophes, so "don’t" stays one word). Punctuation and spaces are treated as separators.

What does "exclude common words" do?

It removes frequent function words like "the", "and" and "of" so the ranking surfaces meaningful keywords instead of filler.

How is the percentage calculated?

Each word’s count is divided by the total number of counted words (after any filters you apply), so the percentages reflect the filtered text.
